Brayer is priced the same way: one purchase, all six modules, no gates inside the workflow. The subscription exists only for the things that cost money every month to run, and the app is complete without it.

01The app

- None inside the core workflow. Nothing you carve with is behind a second purchase.

- iPadOS 18 or later. Apple Pencil recommended.
iCloud sync of your own data on your own device is part of the app and is not a paid extra. So is export: your projects, recipes, papers and editions leave in a .relief bundle of readable JSON and your original assets, whenever you want them.

- Snapshots of a project at its milestones, and a way back.
Every one of those has an ongoing server cost, which is the only reason any of them is a subscription. The app is complete without it. If you print on one iPad and keep your archive on it, you never need this.

- No commission. Nothing is taken.
- Paid exchanges
- 5% of the participation fee, once fee collection is live.
- Collection
- Fee collection through Stripe is coming. Today, organizers record payments themselves and no money passes through Brayer.
Prints are physical goods, so exchange fees will route through Stripe rather than the App Store. That is also why the commission can be 5 percent rather than something larger.
Content packs
Packs are content, not features.
There will be optional packs between $1.99 and $3.99: artist brush and texture sets for the Design module, made with named printmakers who share the revenue, and historical printmaking template packs. They add material to draw with. They gate nothing. Nothing in the app stops working, or works less well, if you never buy one.

- Is there a free trial?
- No trial that turns into a subscription. The exchange tools are free outright, and the app is one purchase at $7.99.
- Do I need Studio+ to use the app?
- No. Every module, every export and every exchange feature is in the one-time purchase. Studio+ only adds sync, storage, the web studio, certificate pages and backups.
- What happens if I cancel Studio+?
- Your data stays on your iPad and keeps working. Only the synced copies and the web studio stop updating.
- Can I get my data out?
- Always. Every project exports as a .relief bundle of readable JSON and your original assets, with no subscription required.
