Privacy
How we handle what you give us.
This is the policy we would want to read ourselves. It is not legal advice, and a lawyer has not reviewed it yet.

01What we store
Only what the exchange needs to run.
Creating a web account gives us your email, a display name, and an optional bio. Joining an exchange adds your mailing address, so the organizer can send you a print, and whatever roster status, print title, messages, and submission photos belong to that exchange.
Signing up for the launch waitlist stores only your email and where you signed up from.
None of this is the same as what’s on your iPad. See “The iPad app” below.
02Who can see it
A short table beats a long paragraph here.
- Account email
- You, and Brayer (sign-in and matching an imported roster row to your account)
- Display name, bio
- Other members of the exchanges you join
- Mailing address
- The organizer of the exchange you're mailing to. No one else on the roster.
- Roster status, print title
- Other members of that exchange
- Messages you post
- Members of that exchange
- Submission photos
- Members of that exchange, stored in a private bucket, not public on the web
- Waitlist email
- Brayer, to notify you when the app ships
03What leaves your device
Only what you submit, only when you submit it.
Nothing leaves your browser until you act on it: creating an account, joining an exchange, posting a message, uploading a submission photo, or signing up for the waitlist. There’s no background sync on the web account and nothing is sent ahead of you pressing a button.
04Analytics
Aggregate counts, not a profile of you.
The site runs Vercel Analytics, which counts page views in aggregate. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t track you across other sites, and can’t tell one visitor from another. We don’t run any other analytics or advertising script.
05Where it lives
Supabase for data, Vercel for the site.
Account and exchange data live in a Supabase database and storage bucket hosted in us-east-1. The site itself is served by Vercel. We don’t sell or share this data with anyone outside of running the exchange you’re part of.
06Deleting your data
Email us until there's a button for it.
There’s no self-serve delete yet. Email support@brayer.app and we’ll remove your account and everything tied to it by hand. That’s the plain truth of where this stands today.
07The iPad app
Local-first. No account required to draw, carve, or print.
The base app works without any account: your projects, designs, and edition records live on your iPad. If you turn on iCloud sync, that data moves through CloudKit, which is your own iCloud, governed by Apple, not a Brayer server.
The web account described above is separate from the app and only exists for the exchange.
08Changes
We'll date it when it changes.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update the date at the top and describe the change here.
