Most questions about print exchanges and the app are answered below. If yours isn’t, the email at the bottom of this page reaches a person, not a queue.

01Common questions

Do I need the iPad app to join a print exchange?
No. A free web account is enough. You can join with a code, see the roster and specification, mark what you’ve sent and received, and read the colophon when the exchange closes.
What does it cost to organize or join an exchange?
Nothing. Organizing and joining are free on the web. Paid exchanges will carry a 5% commission on the participation fee once fee collection through Stripe is live.
I joined with the wrong email.
Ask the organizer to add you under the right email, then join again with that address. Rows an organizer imports from a roster are claimed automatically by matching email, so the address has to be exact.
Where do I mail my prints?
The organizer’s address is on your exchange page, under “Mail your prints to.” It only shows once you’ve joined.
Can other participants see my address?
No. Your mailing address is visible only to the organizer of the exchange you’re mailing to, never to the rest of the roster.
How do I leave an exchange?
Use the “Leave exchange” control on your exchange page. It removes you from the roster; the organizer can see that you left.
When does Brayer for iPad ship?
The app is built and going to a private beta before the App Store. Leave an email on Get the app to hear once, at launch. The exchange tools on this site work today.
Is Studio+ required?
No. Studio+ is an optional subscription for cloud sync, storage, the web studio, certificate pages and backups. Every module, export and exchange feature is in the one-time purchase. See Studio+.
Is any of this AI?
No. Brayer doesn’t use AI anywhere in the app or the exchange, and that isn’t changing. See About for why.
