The app is complete the day you buy it. Studio+ covers the few things that carry a real ongoing server cost, or keep working for you month after month: sync between iPads, cloud storage, a web studio, certificate pages and backups. Nothing in the studio workflow sits behind it.

01What it adds
Five things that cost something to run.
- Cloud sync
- Your projects, ink recipes and impressions on every iPad you work from. Each iPad still works offline on its own.
- Cloud storage
- Room for high-resolution project archives and the reference photos that go with them, kept off the device.
- Web studio
- Your projects, editions, recipes and papers in a browser, on a laptop or a borrowed screen at a gallery visit. Move a print or log a sale from there; everything else is made on the iPad.
- Certificate pages
- The QR code on every certificate of authenticity opens a page that confirms the print, its number and its edition, for whoever holds it.
- Backups
- Snapshots of a project at its milestones, and a way back to any of them.
02What it never gates
The whole workflow is in the one-time purchase.
All six modules come with the app: Design, Separate, Carve Plan, Studio Log, Editions and Exchange. There is no upgrade prompt inside a carving guide.
Exports stay in the base app: layer PNGs, 1:1 PDFs for carving and registration jigs, certificates of authenticity with their QR codes, CSV for taxes and gallery submissions.
.relief bundles stay in the base app. You can export every project you own and import it on another device without paying anything further.
Print exchanges stay in the base app, both organizing and taking part. A subscription never decides whether an exchange runs.
03What works where
Some of it does not need an iPad at all.
The exchange tools run in a browser, and so does the Studio+ web studio. Here is the honest split.
Working today on this site, with a free account: organizing an exchange, joining one with a code, the roster and the message board, submission tracking, mailing labels, and the colophon.
Working today with Studio+: the web studio at brayer.app/studio, with your projects, editions, ink recipes and papers, and an impressions table where you can move a print or log a sale from a laptop. Certificate pages at verify.brayer.app.
Planned, not built: backups, and fee collection for paid exchanges through Stripe. This page will say so until they are live.
