Mailing labels and colophon
Printing Avery 5160 labels from the roster, writing the colophon's front matter, and what the printed colophon contains.
Updated 2026-09-09
Both pages are organizer tools, reached from the exchange page, and both print straight to PDF from your browser.
Mailing labels

The app's version of the same mailing-label sheet.
The labels page lays out one label per participant with an address on file, thirty to a page, sized for Avery 5160 sheets and any 3 × 10 equivalent (2.625 × 1 inch labels). Print at 100% scale, never "fit to page," on Letter stock, and check one sheet on plain paper before you commit the label stock.
By default your own address is left off the sheet, since you already know it. Click "Include my own address" to add it back in. Rows without a mailing address on file are skipped entirely, and the page lists who's missing one so you can chase it down before you print.
Multi-line addresses print as entered. A single-line address is split into label lines on its commas, so 14 Bergensgata, 0468 Oslo, Norway becomes three lines automatically.
The colophon

The app's version of the colophon builder.
The colophon page has two parts: an editor, visible only to the organizer, and the printable colophon itself, visible to any member of the exchange.
The editor asks for two pieces of front matter:
- Dedication. One or two lines, set in italic on the opening page.
- Introduction. Longer prose on how the exchange came about, what the brief asked for, how the prints arrived.
Click "Save colophon" to publish these. Everything else on the page is built automatically from the roster and the exchange specification, so there's nothing else to fill in.
What the printed colophon contains
- The exchange name, type, theme, and completion date.
- The dedication, if written.
- The introduction, if written.
- A specification block: type, theme, dimensions, paper, ink, edition size, number of printmakers, and both deadlines.
- One entry per participant, numbered, in the order they joined: name (with an "organizer" tag for you), print title, and bio.
- An alphabetical index of names and print titles.
- A footer noting it was generated with Brayer, the date, and the printmaker count.
If you haven't written the front matter yet, participants who open the page see a note that the organizer hasn't written the colophon yet, with the same roster-built list below it, so the page is worth sharing even before you sit down to write.
Printing to PDF
Click "Print" (labels) or "Print / Save as PDF" (colophon) to open your browser's print dialog. Choose "Save as PDF" there to keep a copy, or send it to a real printer for a physical booklet.
Who can see the colophon
Any current member of the exchange, organizer or participant, can open the colophon page and read it. It isn't public; someone who only has the join link, and hasn't joined, can't see it.
